Live workshop · every Saturday
Build Android and desktop apps with just your phone.
No coding experience needed. In one Saturday afternoon you use your phone, Claude and GitHub to build a real Android app and a desktop app, live, with me walking you through every step. All the building happens on your phone.
The afternoon
From an idea to an app on your phone, in three steps.
1. Set up
Get GitHub and Claude working together on your phone. We do it together at the start, so nobody is left behind before the building begins.
2. Build
Describe the app you want in plain words. Claude writes the code and it lands in your own GitHub project, where you can see every change.
3. Ship
GitHub builds the Android app and the desktop version for you. Install the app on your phone and leave with something you made, plus the know-how to make the next one.
Who it's for
Anyone with a phone and an idea.
You don't need to know how to code, and you don't build anything on a computer. If you can type a message, you can do this. Bring an idea for an app you wish existed. Every session runs, even if you're the only one there.
What to have ready
- Your phone, charged. Android or iPhone.
- Recommended: a computer or tablet to watch the session on
- A free GitHub account (github.com)
- A Claude account (claude.ai)
- About three hours, from 1 PM Eastern
Why a second screen: you watch me on one and follow along on your phone, without switching back and forth. You can watch on the phone itself, but flipping between the meeting and your apps is fiddly, and some phones pause or mute the meeting when it goes to the background.
On an iPhone you can build both apps. Installing the Android app needs an Android phone, so iPhone users try it out on the desktop side.
